Stress is an unfortunate side effect of many of our lives. Whether it be physical stress from a demanding physical job or mental stress from a busy day at the office, stress is something that we bring home with us. When a person is stressed they become more irritable and typically sleep uneasily. This puts them in a bad place to start the next day and the cycle of stress continues. Hot tubs are a great way at reducing both the mental and physical effects of stress.
A 15 minute soak in a hot tub allows the heat of the water and the force of jets to relax us as our body performs what it needs to help reduce the negative effects of stress. The hot water dilates the blood vessels in sore tissue which allows increased blood flow to help relieve sore muscles and repair torn fibers. The jets stimulate the nerves which send a relaxing pulse throughout the body, helping us relax and letting the weight of the day slip away. Even the simple act of sitting in water reduces our weight significantly and gives sore joints and muscles a much needed respite.
Hot tubs let our bodies relax and repair themselves which helps us drift off to sleep peacefully, easily, and better prepared for tomorrow.
